Contact: tbcapen@gmail.com |
Tracey Capen has worked as a SCUBA instructor, carpenter, photographer, home-theater installer, and insect researcher for the USDA. He's also an award-winning editor and writer, covering computer technology and consumer electronics for over two decades. He was a senior editor at Infoworld and Corporate Computing magazines, and an executive editor at PC World magazine. In 2010, Capen moved to the Northwest for a six-plus-year stint as editor in chief of WindowsSecrets.com. He is currently a freelance editor/writer. Capen has had a lifetime love affair with photography — especially recording high, wild places, lonely deserts, and life under the sea. He's photographed the West Buttress route of Denali, Shasta's North side, Mt. Rainier, and other lesser peaks. His other interests include GPS, digital music, and all sorts of wind- and human-powered sports. Capen currently divides his time between Seattle and his farm — Winter Creek — located on the Olympic Penninsula. |
